Puppy Training
We offer two separate training packages for your new companion. One is a 4-session program with a professional trainer in your home after pickup or delivery. The second is a board and train program that would extend your puppy's stay with us and he/she would be fully trained on basics when you bring them home.
Training Program - Puppy Prep School
Kick Start Training
Our kick-start training course is an in-home course with you and your new companion to begin your lives together best. There will be 4 sessions working alongside you and your puppy, giving you the foundations for potty training and basic behavioral development. This course will leave you set to reinforce and continue more involved training with the skills given to you with your training partner.
uppy Prep School
Puppy Prep School was developed for families who want a head start with crate training, potty training, basic commands, socialization and leash training. Often, people opt for prep school who have a busy schedule and don't want to deal with the 8-week-old puppy missing its littermates and first home and peeing in the home.
Week #1
Potty Training
Goal of Week 1:
The goal is to get your puppy used to sleeping all night in his/her crate, used to being in a home without all of his/her littermates and get potty training started.
Week #2
Basic Commands & Encouraging Good Behaviors
Goal of Week 2:
We will make sure your puppy's first introduction into family life is focused on building good habits before bad ones have a chance to form. We teach sit, stay and come, knowing its name, basic manners such as waiting patiently for meals, sitting for attention, learning not to jump or bark rudely, and the commands "no bite, leave it, and off" are introduced and enforced. Good manners are taught and reinforced all day long!
Week #3
Leash Training
Goal of Week 3:
We introduce the leash to your puppy and work on leash manners.
Week #4
Socialization
Goal of Week 4:
Your puppy will be socialized with cats, kids, and adults, etc. Additionally, they will be socialized, conditioned and desensitized to crowds, loud noises, vacuums, blenders and more. Nails are trimmed, ears cleaned, and baths given to ensure they tolerate being handled without irritation.
Updates:
You will receive photos of your puppy daily as well as video updates at least 3 days a week.
End of training:
At the end of their stay you will receive a schedule so you will be able to pick up where we leave off, along with detailed instructions on how to keep up with the training we started.
